Dr Karen Blay is a Lecturer in Digital Construction & Quantity Surveying, at Loughborough University.She led this project on Information Resilience funded by the Centre for Digital Built Britain: https://www.cdbb.cam.ac.uk/.
She has previously worked as a Quantity Surveyor and Project Manager and holds a Bachelor of Science degree (First Class) in Building Technology, a Master of Science degree (with Distinction) and a PhD in Construction Management. She is Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), a Hardware & Networking Qualified Professional and has key interest in computer programming. Her current research interests fall under the following broad areas: Resilience in Projects, Digitalisation & Inclusion, Blockchain and Information Resilience in the Built Environment.
She is looking forward to collaborating with academics and industry professionals all over the world on adapting Enterprise Information Systems to maximize information value, given the adaptive nature of her research and the current push towards Digitalisation, Blockchain adoption and strong Artificial Intelligence across sectors.
